The Georgia Democratic Party is looking for Georgia residents to fill the Justice of the Peace slot vacated by the untimely death of Gilles Rainville. The Justice of the Peace duties include participating as a member of the Board of Civil Authority which hears property tax abatement filings along with the Georgia Selectboard, working at the polls, reviewing the Georgia voter checklist and, of course, performing weddings as available. We are required to submit from 1-3 names to Governor Scott, who will select a replacement for Mr. Rainville to fill out the rest of his two-year term.
